It’s back! Making Zen FREE online retreat

It’s been a quiet past 6 days here at Haywood Homestead, after we lost all Internet and phone services – it’s just been restored today. However, it’s been a very creative time without the distraction of Instagram and emails, and a little part of me is sorry to let that go!

On the subject of creativity, coming up on the 25th-29th September is the Making Zen online retreat. Register for free here, and read more about it.

(This is an affiliate link; if you click on it and purchase a VIP pass, then the Haywood family benefits.)

Making Zen is a free online retreat centred around textile arts and mindfulness. It’s designed to help you slow down and nurture your creativity by providing a bundle of workshops from skilled textile artists from all over the world.

20 artists will present workshops over 5 days. Each goes for around 30 minutes and they cover a range of topics such as mending and embroidery, creating texture in your stitching, and making art everyday. Each presentation will be available for 24 hours for free. If you’d like longer, a VIP pass ($59US) will give you lifetime access, a bundle of extras from the artists, and you can watch all the workshops immediately.

Are you homeschooling? This is a great opportunity to discover new artists and creative techniques.

I’m not presenting a workshop this time (because I’m trying to finish the Year of Zero Waste Sewing book before Christmas) but I highly recommend this retreat to you.

Cheers! Liz
