…still knitting BIG

Last week’s chunky shawl knitted in 72ply Nundle Mills wool has been unraveled and re-knitted as a scarf.
Last week after blogging about the shawl, I happened to see a woman in the town wearing a skinny scarf knitted in similar-sized chunky wool. Hers was cream chenille (to co-ordinate with her cream outfit). That evening I undid half the shawl (with no regrets) and whipped up a scarf while I watched a movie. I wore it the next day and received two compliments.

The scarf is knitted on 25mm needles with four stitches. It’s all knit stitch. The finished length ends up about 1.7m-1.8m long; it’s stretchy. It uses one 300g skein of Nundle Mills 72ply caravan wool, colour dusky rose.
Cheers!
