Here are some festive necklaces to make with the children in your life. They make good presents for Grandma!
This necklace is simply craft pompoms threaded onto crochet thread. Modeled by my favourite seven year old.
We used a fine crochet thread (two strands) and a long sharp needle.
This is the same thing except with glitter pompoms. Perfect for that Christmas drinks party!
We also tried making a different necklace but I’m not sure if it’s successful. The idea was to have fabric ballerina-skirt shapes on a necklace.
I sat a 7.5cm circle of fabric on a 9.5cm circle of tulle on an 11.5cm circle of fabric. I stitched a 2cm running stitch circle in the centre, through all the layers.
I pulled up the gathering tight so the circle looked like a dancers skirt, then sewed it to the ribbon.
We had fun. Cheers!
